In our grand world comes many wonders. From the large trees to the small animals, our mother nature gives as a beautiful dream full of wondrous things. We may think that we are the only smart living things but once again, mother nature is here to prove us wrong. Let us now take a closer look at the 10 smartest animals in the world.
1. Chimpanzees.
Topping our list is the chimpanzee. These impressive creatures continue to amaze us. They are capable of make and use tools, communicate with humans and are good problem-solvers. But as good as they are, their brain is in now way compared to ours although they are closer to us than any other animal in smartness.
2. Dolphins.
3. Elephant.
In many stories, elephants are considered big but with no intelligence. Contrary to those beliefs, elephants have a sophisticated form of intelligence. In fact, elephants are often exceptionally caring and empathetic to other members of their group. They are known to clean their food in the wild and follow human commands. Elephants are really beautiful indeed.
4. Crows.
You might not believe it but crows are very intelligent. The crows that we see living in urban areas are known to collect nuts and place them in the passing streets for cars to crack open their shells. Then, they return and have a well-deserved meal. This is one of many ways that demonstrates their intelligence and innovational skills. Crows are self-aware. Crows are even understood to organise funerals for their dead, which is a trait rarely seen in many animals.
5. Dogs.
6. Parrots.
It is not new to us that parrots are very intelligent. Parrots can produce complex vocalisations and at least can try to talk and mimic us. Studies have even shown that some parrots are capable of associating words with their meanings and can form simple sentences.
7. Pigs.
Pigs are considered dirty and gluttony. But, have you ever wondered if an animal such as the pig could be actually smart? Pigs are considered pets by many people in the United States as they are almost as trainable as dogs and cats. They can distinguish between familiar pigs and strangers and can even use a mirror to find hidden food.
8. Octopuses.
9. Pigeons.
10. Squirrels.
Clearly, every animal is smart in their own way. For example, ants and bees. Though they may not be able to accomplish difficult tasks alone, together they are amazing. Their co-ordination goes beyond what we could imagine. To be honest, I think that each animals( from small animals like rats to big animals like the cheetah) is unique and cannot be compared to any other living thing in the world. Don't you just agree?
