You might not believe it but crows are very intelligent. The crows that we see living in urban areas are known to collect nuts and place them in the passing streets for cars to crack open their shells. Then, they return and have a well-deserved meal. This is one of many ways that demonstrates their intelligence and innovational skills.  Crows are self-aware. Crows are even understood to organise funerals for their dead, which is a trait rarely seen in many animals.

It is not new to us that parrots are very intelligent. Parrots can produce complex vocalisations and at least can try to talk and mimic us. Studies have even shown that some parrots are capable of associating words with their meanings and can form simple sentences.

7. Pigs.

Pigs are considered dirty and gluttony. But, have you ever wondered if an animal such as the pig could be actually smart? Pigs are considered pets by many people in the United States as they are almost as trainable as dogs and cats. They can distinguish between familiar pigs and strangers and can even use a mirror to find hidden food.

8. Octopuses.

Octopuses are one of the smartest marine creatures. They have the ability and strength to screw a lid off a jar. Octopuses are extremely intelligent in the sense that they can navigate through mazes and can easily communicate using colours and patterns. But how is this squishy animal able to achieve this all? Their strength, agility and intelligence may be the cause that sets it apart.

In many major cities in North America, pigeons are seen all over and are seen as just pests and disturbances. However, a pigeon is very intelligent. A pigeon cam recognise images and have a really good memory. They can also identify themselves in the mirror. This pest is pretty smart, huh?

The squirrels's endurance and impeccable memory has made it the enemy of most gardeners throughout the ages. Squirrels store food then retrieve their food months later when it is finally winter. Squirrels are also known to pretend to hide their food so as to deceive onlookers and keep their food safe. Aren't they smart?

Clearly, every animal is smart in their own way. For example, ants and bees. Though they may not be able to accomplish difficult tasks alone, together they are amazing. Their co-ordination goes beyond what we could imagine. To be honest, I think that each animals( from small animals like rats to big animals like the cheetah) is unique and cannot be compared to any other living thing in the world. Don't you just agree?
