8 Workout Exercises you can try at home.

During this Coronavirus pandemic, we may be very stressed because we may have lost our jobs or worse.

So, what can we do to lift our spirits up? We can try keeping fit. Studies have shown that workout relaxes the mind and body.

First, what is a workout? According to the Oxford Dictionary, a workout is a session of vigorous physical exercise or training. Even if you are already fit, you still need to workout so that you can reduce stress and depression. If you get tired, rest for a while then continue. The goal is to never give up but keep on persevering till you reach the end. 

So, I thought I'd give you some workouts you can try at home. Hope that you will not only enjoy them but practice them in your day to day lives.

1. Yoga Asanas.

Yoga is a type of exercise in which you move your body into various positions in order to become more fit or flexible, to improve breathing and to relax your mind. Some people may ask, Is this really a type of workout? Yes, I can assure you it is. 

The benefits of yoga are many e.g

  • Your flexibility will improve.
  • Relaxes the mind
  • Improves concentration
  • Improves breathing.
  • Prevents back pain
  • Improves blood flow
  • Reduces stress among others.

Here are 5 Yoga Asanas you can try at home:



2.Pushups

Pushups are a good full-body workout. They keep you fit. Set a goal and start doing them. Remember to start slow then progress slowly till you get the hang of it.



3.Squats. 

Squats can strengthen your muscles and help you keep fit. So, why not try it now!


4.Planks.

Planks strengthen your spine and help you maintain good posture. It is recommended that you do bursts of 20 seconds each if you are a beginner. Doing planks for at least 3 minutes every day can help you burn more calories and keep fit in the long run.



5. Jogging.

Jogging not only helps you keep fit but also helps to reduce the chances of cadiorvascular diseases. Jogging also helps you to cope with stress and depression. So why not try to take a jog every morning to start your day.

6. Lunges.

Lunges improve your coordination, balance, and help to increase your flexibility. At first, lunges may be difficult but as you continue practicing, they will become easier and easier. Try doing at least 10 lunges on each leg thrice a week.

7. Jumping jacks.

Doing jumping jacks strengthens your heart, lungs, and muscles. Try doing at least 20 jumping jacks.

8. Skipping rope.

Buy a rope and skip it. It is a fun full-body workout you can try at home. All you need is a rope and some energy.

Don't try to strain. Just be calm and practice slowly. In the end, the results will be worthwhile. I try my best each and every day so I can also keep fit. Some days, I do them without complaint and some days, I just can't get myself to stand up but I still wake up and do some exercises. That is what you should do. And like I said before, DO NOT GIVE UP!
